Location ; Rose Cottage provides comfortable holiday accommodation within the New Forest village of Burley. Ponies at the gate, village pubs, restaurants and little shops all within a few minutes walk. Many recreational pursuits right on your door step, riding stables, bike hire, golf, fishing and miles of open forest for rambling! Explore the ancient woods and heathland that surround the village.

An ideal spot for touring the whole New Forest region and adjacent coastline. Highcliffe Castle beach is but a twenty minute drive, whilst there, go on to Mudeford Quay and buy freshly caught fish for your supper!

The ground floor Sitting room and dining area, with french doors leading to the patio garden beyond. The sitting room has an attractive fireplace with a gas fired 'woodburner stove' for cosy winter evenings. 26" LCD TV, DVD, Free View . Radio /CD and games trunk.

The galley style kitchen is fitted with reclaimed pine units, butler sink, fridge/freezer electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine/dryer.
There is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and basin.Rose cottage has the advantage of an enclosed rear porch, leading from the kitchen to the patio, ideal for cleaning doggie and parking your boots.

First floor you will find one double bedroom to the front of the cottage, with 5ft bed, dressing table and under the eves wardrobe. There is a second double bedroom, also with a 5ft bed, dressing table & wardrobe and a further single bedroom with 3ft bed. Bathroom with shower attachment over the bath.

OutsideTo the rear of the property is a patio garden with wrought iron furniture, parking for one car, additional parking in the lane.

Bed linen & towels provided,( not beach towels) could Mums bring their own cot bedding please.

Rental includes all utilities.

Travel cot, high chair & stairgate for the younger guest.

The owner respectfully requests non smoking guests only.

Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement dependant on the party size. For full occupation, one small breed dog only. A larger breed can only be accepted with a party size of 4 people or less. There is a £25 charge per dog per booking ( weekly and for short breaks)

Forest walking. Less than a ten minute amble to the open forest, super walks in a variety of settings, from a simple stroll to a serious ramble.

Nearest shop. Just a few minutes walk to the village shops that include a Post Office and a good village grocery. Village petrol station.

Nearest little town. Ringwood, which has a Charter Market on Wednesdays dating back to 1226 about a ten minute drive.

Nearest railway link. Brockenhurst, about a twenty minute drive. Trains from Waterloo.

Local eating. The Queens Head pub and Burley Inn offer food in addition to several cafes.

Recreation ; Hire a bike from the village hire shop, or saddle up for a gentle hack from Burley Manor riding stables. Golf available at Burley Golf Club being a forest course, watch out for those ponies on the green. Fishing at Turf Croft in Burley.

Nearest beaches. Highcliffe Castle beach, Mudeford, and Avon Beach Within a half an hour drive.
