Location ; Saturday arrival day ,The Lilies is an attached character cottage,dating from 1805, located within a ten minute stroll from the picturesque centre of Lymington. This historic waterside town offers an interesting selection of independant shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the New Forest region, either by cycle or car. Lymington itself offers super views of the Solent from the marinas and coastal paths, the Isle of Wight ferry will take you over to Yarmouth, why not pop over for lunch at the George Hotel.

All this on your doorstep, yet only a ten minute drive to the open spaces of the New Forest, with Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard ( pictured on the price page) and Brockenhurst village within very easy reach. Mudeford Quay, together with the sandy beaches of Highcliffe and Friars Cliff are only a twenty five minute drive from the cottage.

There are many recreational opportunities close to hand, horse riding, golf, sailing and cycle hire. For those seeking a less active break, there are many locations to sit and watch the world go by, the gentle art of doing nothing in particular. Lymington itself has a very good Recreation and Leisure Centre about five minutes drive from the cottage. Featuring a 25 metre indoor pool, massage and beauty therapy.

GROUND FLOOR ; Entrance hall, leading to the kitchen, with back door giving access to the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge with ice box, washing machine and microwave. A door from the hall leads to the sitting room, which has an open log fireplace, sofa, two leather armchairs, TV & DVD. The dining area is situated by the french doors, providing access to the patio, BBQ and gardens.

FIRST FLOOR; The stairs lead from the hall up to the landing. A door leads to bedroom one, which has a five foot double bed, wardrobe and dressing table, with views to the garden. There is a second door within this bedroom that connects to the bathroom.

A door from the landing leads to bedroom two, a single bedroom which has a 3ft bed with a 2ft 6" slide out additional bed for a child.There is a second door within this single bedroom that connects to the bathroom.

It should be noted that the bathroom can only be accessed by means of the interconecting doors from each bedroom and not from the landing. The bathroom has a bath, WC & basin.

OUTSIDE; From the lane, high gates lead to a gravelled parking area, there is a summer house which can be used for storing bikes. The parking area leads to a small lawn with a lily pond, pergola with garden furniture and BBQ. It should be noted that in this part of the garden, the lily pond does not have a child proof barrier. The pergola incorporates a gate which can prevent small children from accessing this pond area. Beyond the gate and by the side of the cottage is a little front garden and porch, plus a small patio area that borders the pond, but this side of the pond has a wrought iron barrier. Parents are advised to supervise small children at all times whilst using the garden of the Lillies and may wish to consider the suitability of this property.
