About this Godshill Holiday Cottage:  Friday arrival day, short breaks.  Forest Corner is a good choice for friends and families holidaying together. The open plan kitchen/dining and conservatory areas make an ideal space for get togethers, with a large dining table that provides plenty of room to linger over a family dinner.  

Location:  Forest Corner is situated in the small village of Godshill, village pub within walking distance.  Ponies at the gate, miles of open forest to explore by foot or bike, only two miles to the little riverside town of Fordingbridge.  Horse riding, golf, fishing, cycling and many other recreational activities very close by.  To view what's what, Click 'On the Doorstep' above.

Ground floor

• Entrance hall with straight flight of stairs to the first floor.
• Sitting room which has a bay window, open fireplace, 40" flat screen TV, DVD and CD.
• Bedroom with twin beds, and window overlooking the side garden.
• Large open plan kitchen, with Rayburn range. Additional conventional oven/microwave. Good storage and food prepartion areas. Dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker.
• Open plan dining room, a spacious area with large refectory style table with seating for 10.Wall mounted 23" TV
• Spacious conservatory with doors to the garden beyond.
• Ground floor WC and utility room which has a sink and a washing machine and tumble dryer.

First floor, a fitted stair gate on the top and bottom of the stairs, which can be lifted off if not required.

• Bedroom and en suite shower room with double bed,window with rural views.
• Bedroom with double bed, window with rural views.
• Bedroom with twin beds and bay window overlooking the front of the property.
• Bedroom with single bed and window to the front of the property.
• Bathroom, very well presented with bath, wc, basin and seperate shower cubicle.
• Additional first floor wc and basin.

Outside:  There is a gated driveway (to keep the ponies and donkeys out) with parking for up to four cars.  The garden is level and secluded with garden furniture and BBQ.

Rental inclusive of:  towels and bed linen provided (with the except of cot linen).  All utilities and logs in winter.  Rating 5 star.  Personally inspected.

The owners will accept a well behaved dog by prior arrangement, small breeds preferred.  A second dog may be accepted at an additional charge of £25.  Regret no other pets.

Forest Corner is a strictly non smoking holiday property.

Forest walking.  Fabulous walking country starts right from the door step, whether for a half an hour gentle stroll or a serious ramble.

Recreation.  There are two riding stables in the vicinity, and also bike hire available a mile from Forest Corner.  Godshill is close to the designated off road cycle routes.  With two top class golf courses, Hamptworth and Bramshaw, combined with fishing on the Avon, forest life doesn't get much better (plus a pint at the pub of course).

In addition, a Holiday Park is located within a miles distance.  Their indoor and outdoor pool are available to non residents outside the school holidays.  At the same location, you will find the Tempus Spa, which offers holistic treatments and massage.  Please ask us for contact details.

Local Shopping.  The small riverside town of Fordingbridge is about two miles away, offering a selection of independent shops, banks, Post Office and chemist plus a supermarket on the High Street.

Nearest Towns.  Ringwood, Salisbury and Bournemouth are all within 40 minutes drive.

Nearest railway stations.  Southampton Central, Salisbury, Brockenhurst.

Local Eating.  Two minutes walk from the gate, the Figting Cocks pubs offers good 'pub grub'.  A short drive to The Three Lions at Stucton, the river side George Inn at Fordingbridge.  The Bat and Ball at Breamore.
