About this Lyndhurst holiday cottage ; 4 Star Gold VB Award. A detached cosy cottage with fabulous views across a New Forest 'lawn'.  Sleeps 4 + cot. Regret no pets, Saturday arrival day. 

All  renovated and furnished to a very high standard, creating a relaxing holiday atmosphere.  The views of the forest are ever changing, with the comings and goings of ponies and donkeys that will come to drink from the water trough just opposite your holiday cottage.  By the end of the week you will recognise the 'regulars' with their foals and may catch glimpses of deer in the evening and early mornings.

Location:  Quietly situated along side a single track 'back lane' on the edge of the village, alongside other small cottages that front the open forest. Only a gentle stroll of about ten minutes though the network of lanes brings you to Lyndhurst village, or take the scenic route and meander across the forest to the lower end of the High Street and reward yourself with a cream tea. Inside:  Ground Floor;

• Kitchen, newly installed, galley style, fully fitted with oak surfaces, Belfast sink, dishwasher, gas hob, electric fan oven, under counter fridge with ice box. Washer/dryer.
• Dining Room. Oak extending table and leather diners, oak desk,Wi-Fi, IPOD docking speaker system, telephone for incoming calls. Woodburner (electric effect)
• Sitting room with open fire and stunning views of the New Forest.  Flat screen 32" T.V, DVD and Freeview.
• Stairs to first floor, banister on one side, open on o the dining room on the other side.
• First Floor
• Master bedroom with fabulous 180 degree views of the New Forest. Millbrook pocket sprung 5 ft. bed plenty of built in wardrobe space, dressing table.
• Bedroom two, two Millbrook pocket sprung 2 ft 6". wide twin beds most suitable for children or zipped and linked to create 5 ft wide bed for adults. Dressing table, built in wardrobes.
• Outside:  There is an attractive sunny patio area to the rear of the cottage. With BBQ, chimenea, water feature and lockable store for bikes. Parking for two cars to the front on the cottage.

Rental inclusive of:  All utilities, towels (exception of beach towels) and bed linen (with the except of cot linen).  Logs in winter.  Rating Four **** Visit Britain Gold Award.

Arrival time:  3.30pm.  Departure time 10 am.  Friday start day for 3 night weekends available out of main season.  Please enquire for availability.

Lyndhurst Village. The New Forest Museum and Visitor Centre, well worth a visit.

Nearest Shop.  Lyndhurst village, about a ten minute walk. A small Budgens supermarket, good butcher, chemist and numerous other small shops.

Local eating out:  excellent choice of restaurants, cafés, from the top notch Lime Wood to Italian, Indian, Chinese and much more, plus traditional pubs.

Forest Walking:  Endless walks from Forest View where the open New Forest stretches before you.  A gentle amble or a stroll via the water meadows on route to Matley woods.

Nearest little towns:  Within a 25 minute drive, Lymington, set by the Solent, Marinas, cobbled quay and excellent Saturday street market. Isle of Wight ferry.  Big Town, Southampton, about a twenty minute drive from the cottage. Historic Town.  Romsey, lots of independent shops, good restaurants. About a twenty minute drive.

Nearest railway station:  Southampton, Lyndhurst Road Ashurst or Brockenhurst.

Riding at Ford Farm Stables at Brockenhurst.

Golf.  At Lyndhurst, Bramshaw and Hamptworth.

Bike hire.  From Country Lanes or Cycle Ex at Brockenhurst.  AA Bike hire Lyndhurst.  Access the extensive designated cycle tracks that radiate across the forest.

Worth a visit.  Furzey Gardens Minstead, for little ones, Longdown Dairy Farm at nearby Ashurst. Within a few miles, Beaulieu Village, Palace House and the Motor Museum.

Best beach. Highcliffe Castle beach, Mudeford and Avon Beach.
