As new owners of Hollyhocks and New Forest locals, Lara and Chris ar delighted to welcome previous visitors and new guests. Holder of a Four **** Visit Britain Gold Award, Hollyhocks is located along a quiet, gravelled lane, where ponies and donkeys wander at their leisure. One of a pair of cottages, Hollyhocks has 2 bedrooms, a cosy sitting room with a coal effect fire, with a combined kitchen/dining area. A tranquil and restful setting - perfect for a relaxing break to recharge your batteries. Only a few minutes stroll to the local village shops, restaurants and pubs or to reach the New Forest.
Location: Burley is a charming rural village in the heart of the New Forest. Ideally placed for you to enjoy rambling walks across the open forest and heathland. The village has a Post Office and village grocery store plus petrol station. For local eating, the Queen's Head pub and Burley Inn plus numerous cafes and tea rooms are within a few minutes walk. Riding stables, bike hire and fishing are available in the village. A little further afield, there is sailing in Lymington, beaches at Highcliffe and shopping in Bournemouth - all within a half hour drive. So much to do - or just chill out and relax with a book in the garden and have a leisurely stroll to the pub at lunchtime!

All bed linen supplied apart from cot bedding. Bath towels supplied and all utilities included in rent.
Outside The property is set back from the lane within a pretty cottage garden. There is an arbour with table and seating. The rear of the property has off lane parking for two cars.
The owners strictly request non smoking guests. Small dog by arrangement with the owner, additional charge of £25 per booking.

Forest walking. Less than a ten minute amble to the open forest, with super walks in a variety of settings, from a simple stroll to a serious ramble.
Nearest shop. Just a few minutes walk to the village shops that include a Post Office and a good village grocery. Village petrol station.
Nearest little town. Ringwood, which has a Charter Market on Wednesdays dating back to 1226 about a ten minute drive.
Nearest railway link. Brockenhurst, about a twenty minute drive. Trains from London Waterloo.
Local eating. The Queens Head pub and Burley Inn offer food in addition to several cafes.
Recreation: Hire a bike from the village hire shop, or saddle up for a gentle hack from Burley Manor riding stables. Golf is available at Burley Golf Club but being a forest course, do watch out for those ponies on the green! Fishing at Turf Croft in Burley.
Nearest beaches. Highcliffe Castle, Mudeford and Avon beaches - all within a half an hour drive.
