Location: The central part of a country house with shared grounds and cottages. Situated at the 'forest end' of Lyndhurst village, just a few moments walk from the hill known as 'Bolton's Bench', dotted with ponies and a good vantage point to view the local landscape; ideal for foal spotting in the spring and early summer. Choose a track for a laid back stroll, take a picnic down to the water meadows, or simply enjoy watching the resident deer frolic in the garden. The village High Street is also within minutes walk and first stop is Café Parisian, order an excellent cup of Lavazza after your morning ramble. Outside: Small private patio with table and chairs. Spacious communal lawns, bordered by the village recreation field. Parking for two cars, with additional parking within a few moments walk. The open forest is more or less on the doorstep, 145 square miles for you to call your own!
Rental inclusive of: Bath towels (not beach) tea towels, bed linen, (apart from cot bedding) all utilities and logs in winter months. NFL rating 4 star, personally inspected.

Local dining. Lime Wood, a twenty minute stroll amongst the ponies, The Hotel Terra Vina, within a ten minute drive. Plenty of choice within easy walking distance, Italian, Indian, Chinese, bar food, cafés. The Pergola Italian Restaurant, less than a five minute walk away.

Worth a visit. Furzey Gardens Minstead. The New Forest Centre and Museum in Lyndhurst village. Beaulieu, the Motor Museum and Palace House. All open daily throughout the year.
