Location:  Norleywood is a small New Forest hamlet, quietly situated between Lymington and Beaulieu.  A favourite place for the donkeys and ponies and ideally placed for walking and cycling directly from the holiday cottage.  Pop in to Lymington, only a ten minute drive, explore the cobbled lanes and antique shops, take in the sea air from the marinas, or jump on the Isle of Wight ferry over to Yarmouth for lunch.

Property description:

Accessed by a short single track lane from the village road, Norley Cottage is a single storey property, enjoying a secluded, forest side location.  A perfect base for a New Forest self catering holiday, within a lovely garden setting.  A real feature of this holiday cottage is the private outdoor heated swimming pool, available from the end of April (weather permitting) to end of September.  Measuring 30ft x 15ft - steps at the shallow end that measures 3ft depth, with a graduation to 7ft at the deep end.  The pool area is surrounded by a 3ft fence with gate.

Spacious single storey accommodation:  The front door leads in to the hall.  From this area, a door leads to

• Bedroom two, five foot wide divan bed, wardrobe and chest.  A patio door opens to a garden area.
• Family bathroom, bath with a shower over, shower curtain, basin and WC.
• Bedroom four; with single bed, 3ft wide, wardrobe.

Inner lobby, from this area, doors to:

• Bedroom one. 5ft wide bedstead, walk in wardrobe and dressing area with mirror.  Ensuite bathroom, bath, shower and hand held shower attachment, basin and WC.  Patio doors leading to a small private decked are with table and chairs.
• Reception room, log fire, flat screen TV, freeview, DVD.  Glass sliding doors to the;
• Conservatory dining room, table for six, patio door to access garden furniture and pool area.  Side door to garden.
• Kitchen, accessed from an archway in the reception room.  Breakfast area, dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave, coffee maker, archway to:
• Utility room, American style side by side fridge freezer, second sink area, washing machine. Door to:
• Bedroom three, 2 x 3ft wide bed steads, arranged in an end to end configuration.  Door to ensuite shower room. Glass shower cubicle, basin and wc. Glass patio doors to outside.

Outside;

A shared driveway leads to parking for two cars to the gravel forecourt to the front of the holiday cottage.  To the rear of the property, there are extensive gardens of about half an acre.  The outdoor swimming pool and surrounding patio lies close to the house and is surrounded by a 3ft fence with entry gate.  Garden furniture, and charcoal BBQ.  Rotary dryer.  Parking space for a small rib or boat trailer.

Rental inclusive of:  towels (not beach or pool) tea towels, bed linen, all utilities, logs for fire.

Nearest Shop, small village shop to be found in Pilley, East Boldre and Beaulieu villages, all about two miles distant.  They keep to 9-5 hours.

Nearest town, Lymington a ten minute drive.  Waitrose, M&S simply food. Saturday street market.  Marina, waterside walks, Isle of Wight ferry to Yarmouth.

Nearest rail station, Brockenhurst (for London Waterloo) South West Trains. About seven miles distant from the holiday cottage.

Local eating:  The East End Arms, walkable, about 20 minutes stroll.  The Fleur de Lys at Pilley, the Turf Cutters at East Boldre.  Both under ten minutes drive.  Plenty of choice in Lymington, under fifteen minutes drive.

Recreation:  Horse riding at Forest Park, or Ford Farm stables, both at Brockenhurst.

Bike hire from Country Lanes, Cycle Experience, both at Brockenhurst or New Forest Activities at Beaulieu.  Bike rides from the cottage through Norley enclosure and through to the cycle tracks of Beaulieu Heath.

Best beach:  Highcliffe Castle beach, Mudeford, and Avon Beach.
