We have a number of stunning holiday cottages in Boldre available to rent throughout the year.
Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Boldre is the perfect base for a New Forest holiday. An unspoilt extended village with a good pub, the Red Lion, and only a five minute drive to the vibrant coastal town of Lymington with shops, restaurants and bustling Saturday street market. 'Overseas' trips are possible - jump on the Isle of Wight ferry from Lymington, lunch in Yarmouth and watch the world go by in the harbour. The most famous Boldre resident was William Gilpin, the eighteen century writer, whose subject was The New Forest, its flora and fauna. For good days out within a fifteen minute drive, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, and Bucklers Hard Maritime Museum are favourites, together with beautiful forest walks, Hatchets Pond at Beaulieu and Ladycross enclosure, or pack the picnic basket and explore the varied coastline from Milford on Sea down to Bournemouth, all within easy reach of this secluded part of the New Forest.
