Highcliffe Castle beach
A tree lined beach with a good café and cakes located in the Castle gardens. Award winning loos,
parking. Either steps or staggered ramps down to the beach. Mainly shingle with sand at lower tide.
Milford on Sea
Good views of the Isle of Wight. Drop in to the Marine Bar and Restaurant, right on the spit. Art deco
style, balconies and roof terrace, very glam. After lunch, cut across the wildlife marshes to Keyhaven
harbour and take the little boat to Hurst Castle or the Isle of Wight (seasonal)
Mudeford Quay
Crabbing lines for children and fresh fish from local boats in season. Take the little ferry for the
ten minute trip over to the sandbank, Beach hut heaven. Relax at the Beach Café, very informal,
family friendly, licensed, good food during the day and evenings in season. Telephone 01202 423474. Ferry
from here to Christchurch harbour. For a special treat, shake the sand from your shoes and book a
