Lose yourselves in the magnificent New Forest when you book a stay at this holiday home at Burley in Hampshire. The delightful village, which has pubs, cafes and independent shops, is known for its roaming ponies and cattle. Welcoming six guests in three bedrooms, the single-storey cottage is ideal for long leafy walks and cycle rides, as well as days out to the coast and even trips over to the Isle of Wight.

Drive into this property over a cattle-grid which keeps the ponies out. Step in and follow the hall, where there is a ground-floor WC, into the bright, modern kitchen. Prepare meals for your party here and then serve them up in the open-plan lounge/diner, where there are doors on to the garden. Relax on the sofa to watch the Smart TV. The family bathroom, with shower over the bath, and all the bedrooms are off the hallway. There is a bunk room with small doubles, plus two king-size rooms, one with an en-suite shower room. Relax out in the lawned garden on warm days or wander straight out into the forest from the property. Find ample parking for several cars on the driveway.

Lace up your walking boots and find myriad routes, including the Burley Trail, through the woodland and heathland. Hire bikes, take a wagon ride or go on a deer safari. Visit Milford on Sea, 10 miles away, to picnic on the beach and swim in the sea. Enjoy the views over to the Isle of Wight. Have a day out to Bournemouth, 14 miles away, or catch the ferry over to the Isle of Wight from Lymington, 10 miles away.

  • 3 Bedrooms - 2 king-size and 1 bunk bedroom (2 small doubles)
  • 2 Bathrooms - 1 Bathroom with shower over bath and WC, 1 en-suite shower and WC and 1 separate WC
  • Gas range style oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
  • Ample off-road parking
  • Shops and pubs within walking distance
  • Smart TV in Lounge
  • Tree lined lawned garden and paved area with seating
  • Travel cot and highchair available on request

We really loved staying at little Brenchley. The garden and easy access to the forest was the highlight. A great place to go with kids. Comfy beds, clean house. We struggled at first with hot water and using the oven but the guide was very helpful here.

Beautiful place in a wonderful location. A couple of hundred metres to the village, but a bit too steep for our elderly relatives. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, very pretty. Its spacious & comfortable but its let down by a little lack of maintenance. Electric sockets dont all work in the kitchen, the handrail to the door outside (steRead moreps) is loose, fence has holes in, no gate, so not 100% dog secure. I would definitely recommend this place and with some tlc it could be amazing. Hide

Beautiful cottage right in the heart of the new forest. Very comfortable with modern feel, and very cosy beds! We didnt use the car once due to the abundance of trails on our doorstep.

The gardens and location with access directly to Burley and the New Forest is great but.. no shelves in bathroom and en-suite. No coat hooks in hall by front door. Shower curtain needed for main bathroom hand shower. En-suite has low water pressure. Curtains in bedrooms let light through. Mattresses are old and uneven: none of us slept at all! HeatRead moreing must be on for arrival in winter. House was damp and all of our clothes had to be washed or dry cleaned after our visit as they stink of damp! Hide

Great location with comfortable beds. If you are planning on cooking while there check your meal plans are Rayburn friendly as it does take a bot of getting used to as the heat is not easily controllable.

Lovely looking, and well decorated in beautiful location. Good quality furniture and some nice touches. Sleeps 6, however, as a party of 4 adults, it was just not practical. E.g. no draw space for clothes, Rayburn oven too small, only stand up shower is in the en-suite, only enough comfortable seating for 4 adults. Cleanliness at handover not the bRead moreest. Location and cleanliness and comfort excellent. A very nice cottage. Suggest owners make sure there are adequate instructions for Rayburn and that the manager answers his phone. For a house as comfortable as Little Brenchley there is a lack of kitchen/dining equipment. As a property owner myself I believe it is far better to be overstocked than undRead moreerstocked.
