Enjoying a delightful location on the fringes of an enchanting New Forest village, the property is an excellent choice for those seeking to make the most of the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding countryside on either bike or foot. The nearby town of Lymington is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon making the most of the Solent coastline. For those wanting to stretch their sea legs there is a ferry from the marina to the Isle of Wight that offers spectacular views back across the coast. The open countryside is right on the doorstep of this property and the village’s local amenities mean that guests can enjoy the best of rural life.

The entrance to the property is via a spacious entrance hall, which leads through into the good-size lounge which boasts oak wood floors that add to the charming ambience of the room. A log fire creates a wonderful atmosphere for a cosy night-in. The open-plan kitchen diner has a lovely country style finish and provides a great space for entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. A cloakroom provides good storage for those muddy boots and coats, and there is also a cosy snug for relaxing and watching a DVD after a day spent exploring the outdoors.

Two bedrooms are located on the first floor of the property; the main bedroom consists of a king-size bed and has plenty of inbuilt storage, a large bathroom is situated next to the bedroom and contains a bath and separate shower cubicle. The second bedroom is also a king-size and has a bathroom adjacent to it with a corner shower.

A small staircase leads up to the second floor where a further two bedrooms can be found; a charming double bedroom and one single bedroom. Further along is a playroom as well as a smaller single bed that is only suitable for a child under eight.

The property has a wonderful garden with expansive shared lawns. A delightful patio seating area provides a lovely space for groups to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.

Beautiful holiday property in fabulous location to explore the New Forest. Perfect for 3 couples. We put the four 80 year olds on the first floor as i think the second set of stairs to the top rooms might have been ambitious! Beautiful communal garden with lovely trees. All very well equipped.

Holmfield House is a spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated property in an ideal central location in the New Forest. Bread, milk, eggs and juice were provided for our arrival. There are numerous games to play and books to read for evenings spent indoors. Much of the house has been recently decorated and apart from a few minor paint chips and flRead moreaking, was clean and in very good condition. The garden furniture does need replacing. There are some very good tea rooms, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance and you can walk into the forest and see ponies within 5 minutes. Our party of five all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. Hide

Beautifully clean and well equipped house in a lovely setting. The play park adjacent to the grounds of the property had plenty for preschool and primary-aged children with room around it to kick a ball, skateboard ramps, a zip wire and also outdoor gym equipment for adults. A few minutes walk to the local High Street with small Co-op and Tesco, puRead morebs and cafes. We saw the deer from the back door every morning and evening. The caretaker was very responsive when we had an issue with the boiler and this was resolved in less than one day - impressive. If you get good weather for drying washing there are very functional outdoor washing lines. Hide

This house is in a great location, we saw several deer and squirrels in the garden. Our son loved the (quiet) public playground which you can get to via a gap in the fence at bottom of garden. The rooms were all a good size and clean. Would stay again!

Beautiful house - newly decorated rooms are lovely / quirky. Very well equipped with really nice touches for kids (e.g. toys and books in bedrooms and lounge; night lights on the top floor). Our tween/ teen loved the direct access to the local park at the back of the communal garden. Had a great week.

What a great place to stay. Lots of room for a family group of 6 adults and 3 children. Good facilities and a great garden for sitting out in. There was a good playground a short walk away and we had deer coming into the shared garden. We were very lucky with the weather and made use of the brand new barbecue. All equipment we needed was provided aRead morend we really enjoyed our stay. An easy drive to the coast and beautiful New Forest walks. There were handy local shops for buying food. Hide

A lovely cottage in a very convenient location. Close to local shops and a short step to the beautiful forest. The busy road at the front of the cottage didnt impact us at all. The back garden was so peaceful, regularly visited by deer, much to the delight of the family.
