This private wood-clad hideaway, set amongst the trees, is perfect for those who love the outdoors and being surrounded by wildlife. Wake up to the sound of birds singing and take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the river, before enjoying a romantic breakfast together on the raised decked area. Follow the riverside footpath further and you’ll discover the historic shipbuilding hamlet of Buckler’s Hard (2 miles), with its stunning Georgian houses and fascinating maritime museum.

Follow a shared gravel track to the property, which is set on stilts. On the ground floor, you’ll find handy storage for bikes and from here a flight of steps lead to the entrance. The luxurious lounge has a vaulted ceiling and large windows which fill the space with natural light. A strong woodland theme runs throughout the property, acting as a constant reminder of your fabulous location. After a day of exploring, snuggle together on the sofa in front of the roaring wood burner. Enjoy a meal for two at the dining table next to the window in the kitchen/diner, or on a summer’s evening, dine alfresco on the decked area that wraps around the property.

Beaulieu, meaning ‘beautiful place’, really is one of the New Forest’s hidden gems. You’ll find plenty to do in the picturesque 13th-century village; potter along the high street with its cute boutiques and quaint tea rooms, enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river and explore the impressive grounds of Palace House. Within the grounds you’ll also find the National Motor Museum, which houses a collection of 250 vehicles including those from the worlds of racing and motorsport. Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway (5 miles) also makes a delightful day out; wander through the colourful, themed gardens before taking a ride on the steam railway.

A lovely well-equipped location. Super clean and very comfortable. The location is beautiful. However, the internet is inconsistent, sometimes really slow and others not working at all.

Accommodation really different - very exciting being up among the trees! Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Really enjoyed our stay. Even enjoyed a couple of breakfasts on the verandah, even though it was October - joined by the local robin! Welcome hamper much appreciated.

Five stars for location. Run down on a few things being mattress and bathroom. Not as clean as I would have liked.. But with some updates could be perfect.

Idyllic cabin on stilts giving a peaceful atmosphere to appreciate the beautiful countryside surrounding it. Bucklers Hard & Beaulieu are both within easy walking distance to absorb the historic nature of both hamlets and take a river cruise or just chill with a drink. Returned home totally restored.

Comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you need. Log burner was fab. We did have to keep overriding the heating and hot water timer as the cabin did get cold quite quickly in the absence of curtains and just blinds on any of the windows.
