Emery Down is a picturesque hamlet nestled in the New Forest National Park. The property is a great choice for those wanting to make the most of the spectacular landscape. The nearby town of Lymington is a wonderful spot for whiling away an afternoon meandering through the cobbled streets. Alternatively, head out along the Solent coastline taking in the breathtaking views before heading back to Emery Down and the local pub to relax and unwind. Bournemouth is just a short drive away and offers an array of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, not forgetting the spectacular beaches that make a great day out.

The property has an inviting open-plan kitchen diner that’s fully equipped with all the essentials that guests require during their stay. Granite worktops and travertine floor tiles add to the country-style chic of the room. A stable door from the kitchen leads out to the patio garden. Through an archway there is a cosy lounge area with oak wood floors that add to the sense of warmth and character of this room which is perfect for a night in watching a DVD in front of the woodburner. This delightful living space is perfect for a romantic getaway.

Upstairs the property’s bedroom is a good size with a double bed and there is a fully tiled bathroom that contains a shower. The bedroom window reveals delightful views across the surrounding countryside.

Outside there is a lovely garden surrounded by a wooden fence, with a lawn and patio seating area for enjoying al fresco dining on balmy evenings.

We had a delightful 4-day stay at this cottage! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and is ideally situated for exploring the New Forest on foot or heading into Lyndhurst. We travel to it every year and the pub a five minute walk away is a real plus, especially as its one of the only highly recommended in the area.

We loved the cottage , very warm and cosy. Everything you could wish for in the kitchen. Holiday information was excellent for walks and telephone numbers. Very close to all off the New Forest and beaches.

Perfect. Perfect cottage, perfect location. The cottage was so cosy and welcoming. Beautifully clean and cosy, with everything we needed to relax and cook in the lovely kitchen. Very well-equipped cosy cottage, very welcoming for dogs and convenient with an enclosed little garden. Extremely convenient location-wise for the whole of the New Forest. Lyndhurst (15 m.) and several welcoming pubs at 2 m. walking distance are a big bonus as wel as the very picturesque view towards the woods (with a group of fallow deer every eveRead morening at dusk) and the little church. The cottage had such a welcoming feel the minute we arrived and it had everything you could possibly need. Beautiful little cottage, very well equipped. Nice touches, bottle of wine, milk in the fridge. Spotlessly clean. New Forest Inn 5 minutes walk, excellent food and dog friendly , nice staff. Garden very secure even for a small dog.

Fantastic cottage for two + dog! Lovely location with a few superb pubs within easy walking distance. Good secure garden for our Frug and great for relaxing in the sunshine. Will look to visiting again soon.

Our third stay at Clares. Don't really want to review it for fear of it not being available in the future it's that good. A warm and cosy cottage set in an ideal location. Perfect for long dog walks in the forest with many choices of pub lunches. Parking outside not a problem although the car didn't move all weekend. Lovely stay. Very convenient for local pub/restaurant and walks.. Great facilities, well equipped and lovely and warm for our December stay. Much appreciated the milk, wine and biscuits and the dog bowls and towels. Bed very comfortable and the Christmas decorations were a nice touch. Hope to visit again.

This cottage was found spotlessly clean and fully equipped (both a concern and you never know till you arrive). Excellent location. Conveniently close to three pub restaurants all dog friendly. Lovely New Forest walks. Lyndhurst 10 minutes away. Traffic jams daily but it was Aug bank holiday! Nice small enclosed garden. On road parking outside fronRead moret door. Ponies visited us daily.
