The location is truly wonderful. The stairs are totally unsuitable for elderly, infirm or youngsters- something to be aware of.

Such an incredible location - so calming and private. Great to be able to walk down to the river in the garden, and along either to Beaulieu or to bucklers hard. Cottage itself beautifully presented, definitely a one bedroom layout so no privacy but not a problem for us. Loved it.

We loved our week here. Location is ideal for walking and close to local amenities. Cottage was full of character but also modern central heating, plentiful hot water, well equipped kitchen and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave. Owner was very responsive to couple of queries, we felt very welcome.

Map
Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
