Highly recommended! Great location and a beautiful cottage! Very friendly welcome. Well maintained and very well equipped. This is an excellent cottage for a couple or a couple with children 4 yrs and up; this because there is one big double bed and 2 singles, but all bedrooms are open space areas. We were a couple in our early 60s and managed the Read morespiral staircase, but would not recommend taking these stairs with a baby or young toddler in your arms. Wonderful area to visit and lots to do! Hide

A lovely place set in a quiet location near the Beaulieu river and steps away from great local walks. The Annex itself is clean, comfortable and a great place to stay.

A lovely cottage for two or young family but not really suitable for two couples due to the sleeping arrangements. Also spiral staircase is fine and we managed OK but if you were on the large size or infirm you could find them difficult.

Location

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
