This charming cottage is situated within the village of Burley. The open forest is just a short walk away, and a choice of local tearooms and pubs on the door step.
Located close to the centre of the pretty village of Burley, there’s much to see and do within walking distance of the cottage. Burley has an interesting past, with stories of smugglers, highwaymen and even witches, which can be seen at the 17th century Queen’s Head Pub and the Coven of Witches shop. The New Forest is also famous for its ponies, and in Burley you can enjoy a gentle wagon ride, taking you past the sights of the village as well as the surrounding countryside. Walkers and cyclists will also love the many trails that take you from Burley to several other great places in the New Forest.
Once you’ve entered the property into the welcoming entrance hallway, step into the lounge, the heart of the home and an ideal place to relax. With a sofa, wood-burner and a Smart TV with DVD and Blu-ray, it’s perfect for putting your feet up after a day of exploring the area. From here you can also access the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard, featuring Smeg appliances, and features a range of facilities including an electric range oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. In the dining area, you’ll find a dining table which easily seats four, as well as a TV. Double doors also open up from the dining area out onto the patio and garden, making this a lovely place to not only enjoy a meal but also to simply relax and socialise. A washer/dryer can also be found just off the hallway in the boot room, along with a sink and a WC; this area is ideal for storing muddy boots and wet weather gear. Heading upstairs, there are two bedrooms, which both have their own TV. The first is the master bedroom, with a Queen-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin beds on request), as well as an en-suite bathroom, with a bath, shower and WC. The second bedroom is equally as luxurious, with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into twin beds as well) and an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.
This cottage enjoys gardens both to the front and to the rear of the property, offering more choice when it comes to where to relax in the sun. Both gardens have a patio with garden furniture, while to the rear of the property there is also a BBQ and a lawn area. Off-road parking is available for one car, while further parking may also be available on the road.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
