A charming Victorian cottage in Barton-on-Sea, four guests and one lucky dog can spend an unforgettable retreat here. A few hundred yards from the beach, you can indulge in getting sandy feet and salty skin. Lounge under blues skies and return to this perfect family-sized self-catering coastal cottage, which will make you smile.

Light, bright and airy throughout, this property has a subtle nautical theme with a great mix of old and new making this cottage characterful. Beautiful well equipped cottage near to the sea. However please be aware the wi fi is very slow. Lovely long garden for children to play in whilst you relax. The dog next door can be quite vocal at night during hot weather when windows open but otherwise a lovely holiday cottage. We had a fantastic holiday. Vanessa

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
