We had a great week here. The house is a short walk away from the seaside. Milford on Sea has plenty of choice for eateries and we had some lovely days out. The house was perfect for us. Driftwood is a lovely house, situated just right for coastal and new forest visits. Plenty of walks and lovely scenery which kept us busy (but relaxed) during a week when we were still in a partial lockdown. The house is very well equipped with everything you need, including the use of towels and the owners had even left hand wash, bubble bath and Read moreother toiletries for our use. The kitchen has plenty of baking pans should you want to cook but the village has got some great eateries if eating out Hide

Lovely cottage in a great location, although that does bring some road noise. It is right in the village centre with pubs etc on the doorstep. A small table and chairs are provided but no real place to put them other than in the shared driveway. Great facilities with lots of useful extras in the kitchen and bathroom. Good selection of books for guiRead moreded walks etc. Very comfortable although the bed seemed to be a small double which we found rather tight for space! Recommended accommodation. Hide

Very well equipped, high standard of finish. Very comfortable. Super location, with the sea and the village shops in walking distance. Our only difficulty was that the car park is difficult if you have a long car.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
