A pleasant detached bungalow which comfortably sleeps four, this property is the perfect base for those looking to explore the diverse landscapes of the New Forest National Park. Situated in the village of Frogham, the cottage is found in a quintessential New Forest location, where the ponies and donkeys roam freely about the village. You’ll find everything you need in the village for basic amenities without jumping in the car, including a tea room, a village pub and a garden shop. The larger riverside town of Fordingbridge lies just over a mile away, with a larger choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, while Ringwood is also close by. Within a 35 minutes’ drive are the cities of Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton, each with something different to offer. Guests will be sure to make the most of the New Forest on their doorstep, with its choice of unspoilt woodland walks, bike rides and other outdoor activities.

This accommodation is arranged all on one level, and upon entry you will be immediately greeted by entrance hall, leading to the spacious lounge/diner. A large and open space, the lounge has everything you need to relax, including comfortable furniture showing traditional comfort mixed with modern living. a TV/DVD to watch and a hi-fi to listen to. The dining area is found separately, with a dining table large enough for meals for all occasions and leads through to the sun room. Here there are even more sofas to relax on, while you can enjoy the views looking out to the garden – the sun room also has doors leading outside. The kitchen contains everything that guests may need to fully enjoy their stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The property has two double bedrooms, each carefully decorated, one double has an en-suite shower room whilst the other room has plenty of room to relax. Curl up with a good book on the sofa or enjoy watching the garden birds feed from the patio doors leading into the garden from the bedroom, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Adjacent to this room is a further good size bathroom with an electric shower over bath, basin and WC.

The pretty garden features a patio area complete with seating, perfect for enjoying the warm summer evenings. This then overlooks the rest of the garden, laid to lawn with additional seating and a netted water feature as the centrepiece. Ample parking is available within the property grounds.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

luxurious comfort, relaxing garden, facilities plentiful and in good order. Owners pleasant and helpful, provided plentiful information we had only mentioned in passing last year, i.e. shows, concerts, and other entertainment - what a huge selection just for May! Ideally situated to tour the new forest. Quiet location, walks on the doorstep. Lots of lovely animals passing by. Pubs and Hockley farm shop which serves lovely food within 5 mins drive. The cottage is warm and cosy, very well equipped and spotlessly clean with a lovely private garden a real gem. The location was beautiful, in the heart of the new forest with fantastic walks. The property was clean and well maintained with all the necessary equipment, a joy to stay in and felt very homely. We would happily recommend it.

The cottage was very pleasant as it was but since the owners have added an ensuite to the main bedroom and a relaxation area to the second bedroom, they have managed to add an extra dimension to the cottage .

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
