Situated in the charming hamlet of Godshill, the enchanting thatched property offers delightful one-level accommodation nestled in the heart of the New Forest. Extensive walking and cycling routes are right on this property’s doorstep.

Commanding an elevated position with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, this property is ideally positioned for those wanting to make the most of the outstanding natural beauty of the New Forest. Anglers can enjoy a spot of fishing on the river Avon, or for keen golfers; two great golf courses are close by. If guests tire of the peaceful countryside they can head to the buzzing city of Salisbury with its array of shops, cafes and bars for a fun day out, or head to the coast and one of the many beaches that are just a short drive away. After a day spent walking the New Forest, guests can return to the local pub ‘The Fighting Cocks’ which is a very short stroll from the gate of the property.

The spacious lounge emits a wonderful sense of warmth from its oak floors and impressive woodburner that’s set into a brick fireplace. The spectacular vaulted ceilings give the lounge a sense of grandeur, height and space. The room is an ideal place for relaxing and watching a DVD or unwinding in front of SkyTV. The fireplace separates the lounge from the dining room, which is a great space for entertaining, and doors lead out onto the terrace giving the room a bright and airy feel. The country style kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and has an island breakfast bar for informal dining. A Rangemaster adds to the farmhouse chic of the room.

The property has two good size bedrooms which are located on the ground floor of this one-level accommodation. Situated on either side of the living area, the first of the two bedrooms contains a king-size bed and there is a spectacular vaulted ceiling, which gives the room an impressive sense of space. Double doors lead out to the garden and ensure that the room is bathed in light. A bathroom is positioned next to the bedroom and consists of a shower over bath.

The second bedroom also contains a king-size bed where guests will no doubt enjoy sleeping underneath the vaulted ceiling. Double doors open out onto the garden and offer delightful views of the countryside. There is a wet room with a shower that is situated adjacent to the bedroom.

In the basement of the property guests will find a utility room complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for drying off those wet beach towels.

The property has a lovely garden with a sunny patio area and BBQ that’s perfect for those balmy summer evenings.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

High quality holiday cottage. Well placed in quiet area but quite a bit of road noise when sitting in garden at weekend. Well equipped ... but be prepared for poor mobile connectivity. Really enjoyable stay.

A really lovely oak-framed cottage, with two lovely bedrooms and excellent kitchen, living rooms and dining room. It has an excellent location just on the north western edge of the New Forest, with excellent walking in that area. The cottage is perfect for people with dogs who like good walks - our Golden Retriever Barney really loved it.

Gorgeous 5 star cottage in a beautiful location. Donkeys and ponies right on the doorstep. Easy access to the rest of the New Forest and only 30 minute drive to the coast. Absolutely beautiful but would be better not in March with heavy snow and wind chill for three days Such a diverse area and not far to the coast. Loved Highcliffe and actually ate lunch outside in the sun! The house is stunning and so private Would love to sit and have a BNQ in the summer there.

Hunter's Moon was the most perfect cottage stay. Immaculately clean and everything you could ever think of was there, at your finger tips. Our sausage dogs adored the underfloor heating and the pretty dog proof garden to explore. We did yoga in the sunlit conservatory, and the log fire and the jacuzzi bath were perfect after a day spent walking in Read morethe forest. So nurturing we have come away feeling rejuvenated. Hide

It was comfortable, spacious and warm. There was access to the Forest through the gate of the cottage and plenty of pubs to eat. The team were as always, very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage is beautiful and cosy, thanks to the woodburner and the super-comfortable beds. Annie is a very helpful, warm host. We went on some lovely walks and just metres from the house are friendly donkeys and horses. I can't think of a better holiday cottage. The cottage was wonderful. Finished to a high standard and wonderfully clean. It was decorated for Christmas and Annie had lit the log burner for our arrival which was lovely. Would love to return in the summer.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
