Situated in the charming hamlet of Godshill, the enchanting thatched property offers delightful one-level accommodation nestled in the heart of the New Forest. Extensive walking and cycling routes are right on this property’s doorstep.

Commanding an elevated position with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, this property is ideally positioned for those wanting to make the most of the outstanding natural beauty of the New Forest. Anglers can enjoy a spot of fishing on the river Avon, or for keen golfers; two great golf courses are close by. If guests tire of the peaceful countryside they can head to the buzzing city of Salisbury with its array of shops, cafes and bars for a fun day out, or head to the coast and one of the many beaches that are just a short drive away. After a day spent walking the New Forest, guests can return to the local pub ‘The Fighting Cocks’ which is a very short stroll from the gate of the property.

The spacious lounge emits a wonderful sense of warmth from its oak floors and impressive woodburner that’s set into a brick fireplace. The spectacular vaulted ceilings give the lounge a sense of grandeur, height and space. The room is an ideal place for relaxing and watching a DVD or unwinding in front of SkyTV. The fireplace separates the lounge from the dining room, which is a great space for entertaining, and doors lead out onto the terrace giving the room a bright and airy feel. The country style kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and has an island breakfast bar for informal dining. A Rangemaster adds to the farmhouse chic of the room.

The property has two good size bedrooms which are located on the ground floor of this one-level accommodation. Situated on either side of the living area, the first of the two bedrooms contains a king-size bed and there is a spectacular vaulted ceiling, which gives the room an impressive sense of space. Double doors lead out to the garden and ensure that the room is bathed in light. A bathroom is positioned next to the bedroom and consists of a shower over bath.

The second bedroom also contains a king-size bed where guests will no doubt enjoy sleeping underneath the vaulted ceiling. Double doors open out onto the garden and offer delightful views of the countryside. There is a wet room with a shower that is situated adjacent to the bedroom.

In the basement of the property guests will find a utility room complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for drying off those wet beach towels.

The property has a lovely garden with a sunny patio area and BBQ that’s perfect for those balmy summer evenings.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Wow! Hunter's Moon is stunning. The welcome hamper full of local bread, juice, eggs, jams, milk as well as chocolate gateaux and champagne was wonderful. Lovely cottage and gardens, could have been cleaner, toilet bend black on arrival in main bathroom. We found from google enough local places to eat of an evening, forget The Fighting Cocks on the corner, very rough pub, police were rounding up youths one evening! Fordingbridge, village, very run down, not worth going in that direction!

Lovely spacious property, ideal location for visiting key area towns and cities. The large enclosed garden is secure enough for even the most inquisitive dog and a beautiful sun trap throughout the day.

The wow factor on this cottage is worth the visit alone and all though it's a lot of money it's worth every penny would recommend to anyone the only complaint would be only two bedrooms for such a big house.

This cottage is impressive. From the ensuite bedrooms, to the stunning fireplace, to the beautiful dining room and imposing chandeliers. The latter hang from a glass atrium allowing you to star gaze and moon watch while dining. Superbly dog friendly with excellent walks from the door. Wow!

This is a beautiful warm open barn with a fully enclosed (even for sausage dogs) garden that opens straight onto the New Forest. It was well equipped and whilst it was quite expensive you definitely get what you pay for and this place was a lovely holiday home.

This is a well located propety in the New Forest and rates in the top 3 of the more than 60 properties we have stayed in when isiting the UK over the last 10 years. The welcome pack was excellent and much appreciated.
