The cottage was lovely and we were able to sit in the garden in the morning and early evening at the end of September. There was everything in the cottage that we needed and a lovely surprise of a lemon drizzle cake which was delicious.

We made an excellent choice - the property was welcoming, as was the owners and we wanted for nothing. It was beautifully maintained and situated in an idyllic spot to enjoy the delights of the New Forest and also the coastal regions beyond.

A lovely cottage offering every comfort you could possibly desire. The soft blanket on the sofa was a real plus as was the provision of a free parking card. The owner of the cottage was both extremely friendly and very helpful and her home made scones and clotted cream were perfect.

A return stay for us so that says a lot! Owners very welcoming and helpful, if needed, but don't intrude otherwise. Lots of thoughtful extras supplied - coffee capsules, tea, sweets, cake, champagne, milk, porridge.

Location

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
