Friendly welcome. Very well equipped cottage. Garden is fully enclosed and very safe for our Gordon setter. Great location and very easy to visit New Forest attractions. Whilst there are pubs in walking distance we felt that with the darker evenings and lack of pavement in some areas it would be safer to drive.

Set in the perfect location, quiet and not completely out in the wilderness. The cottage was supremely clean, well equipped and had everything we were looking for. The garden was perfect for our dog with secure fencing around the property. Would love to come back during the summer as I can imagine it being even better.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
