Far from the noise of inner city living, this family retreat in Sway offers a chance to refresh, revive and rejuvenate. Ideally located for sun-dappled days exploring the enchanting New Forest, trips to the beach and visiting the smattering of pretty towns and villages nearby, four people and three dogs can spend a dream break together.

Featuring two bedrooms (one king-size and one super-king-size zip-and-link) you'll have a great night's sleep before wandering into the characterful kitchen. Benefiting from an open-plan design, the kitchen/diner is separated from the lounge via two steps. Enjoy the mix of rustic charm and contemporary style as you prepare a hearty breakfast with all the trimmings. Alongside the kitchen, a large dining table provides the setting for meals. With room for the whole family to stretch out and unwind, the lounge boasts a wood burner set within a brick fireplace and shelves packed with good reads, games and DVDs. Take your pick or opt for the Smart TV and Netflix for light entertainment. In the summer, swap the sofa for the hot tub and relax as the kids play on the swing set and the dogs play on the lawn. Fully enclosed, the garden offers a fun sanctuary for all. Later sit around the fire pit and toast marshmallows, keeping an eye out for shooting stars. A step down from the lawn leads you onto a paved terrace and there is also an outdoor shower.

A stone's throw from many fantastic walks and trails, spend hours and days discovering the New Forest together. In Sway, you can visit the Sway Tower, complete the popular 9-mile Sway to Setthorns cycle route and indulge in the local eateries. Meanwhile, Lymington is only 5.5 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is a little gem! It's location in a small village with an excellent butchers, welcoming pubs and walks galore right on the doorstep make it a lovely relaxing holiday. Really well furnished cottage with a large garden and a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking and a nearby pub five minutes walking distance away. Most importantly its in a quiet location which is exactly what I wanted. The owner of the cottage Kevin lives in the next street and popped in to say he was always on hand if required.

Laurel Bank is a fabulous place to stay in for a trip to The New Forest! The cottage is extremely dog friendly, with a shower, shampoo, towels & poo bags all provided for you!! Amazingly well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. Everything your need is there for human and dog you just literally need to take your clothes. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await.
