This property is an excellent choice for those that want a home-from-home to return to after a long day; relax among the stylish decor or grab your swimsuit and jump in the hot tub.

The lodge, which sits adjacent to the owners’ stable yard, welcomes you with contemporary styling and thoughtful furnishings throughout. Cook up some local fare in the kitchen and head out to the deck to dine alfresco or sizzle up the BBQ as you all gaze at the views. Snuggle up on the sofa in the open-plan living area in front of the TV among peaceful grey and white tones, or curl up in an armchair with your favourite book for a cosy night in. Crisp, fresh decor in the bedrooms ensure you get a refreshing night’s sleep so you’re ready the next morning for a day of adventure.

The children will love Paultons Park (14 miles), home of Peppa Pig World - one attraction that’s not to be missed. If you’re not travelling with little people, Beaulieu (21 miles) might be more appealing; the village is home to the National Motor Museum, but you can also hire canoes on the river or take the 16-mile round walk to Brockenhurst and back where you’ll see horses and ponies grazing in the fields. A lovely spot in a most beautiful part of the country. A comfortable, well equipped clean property, well located for getting around the New Forest and the quiet and solitude of the property were priceless, we were able to totally relax.

The location was fantasic, the garden was spacious and the woods just across the road to explore. It was well kitted out and there was frequent checks on the hot tub. The owners were very helpful and friendly. However it is not mentioned in the details that it is right next to the stables and we found the flies overwhelming. Proper fly screens woulRead mored make it much more comfortable for guests. As it currently is we would not be going to the accommodation again and would be looking elsewhere Hide

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
