At the end of the day, climb the vibrant stairs to the mezzanine level overlooking the lounge, where you’ll find the double bedroom. The pretty town of Lymington is well worth exploring. You’ll find a great selection of independent eateries and on Saturdays, there’s a fantastic street market with over 100 stalls. If you’re into outdoor swimming, then the seawater baths are a must (2 miles). Located near the yacht club, they’re the oldest in the UK and date back to 1833. Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway (11.5 miles) makes a relaxing afternoon excursion. Stroll through the colourful themed gardens packed with rhododendrons and azaleas before taking a ride on the narrow-gauge steam railway.
