The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was very well equipped and had some lovely treats left by the owners for our arrival. The cottage is in the perfect position being right in the centre of the little town of Fordingbridge and right on the edge of the New Forest.

The house was clean, modern and exactly what we were looking for. It was a great base to meet with relatives in the new forest during these times of restricted meetings

Fordingbridge is a good base for looking around Hampshire and Wiltshire. The property was perfect for the local shops in the village with at least 5 restaurants. The owner had provided some food provisions which are all necessary when you first arrive and we were grateful for this. The bed was comfortable as was the sofa and chair in the living rooRead morem. There is a toilet downstairs as well as upstairs and a lovely garden to sit out in. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking. Hide

Well equiped comfortable cottage very close to Fordingbridge town centre. Quiet area. Easy access to other parts of the New Forest by road. Ringwood Brewery and shop are only a 15min drive away. Enjoyed breakfast at Bridges cafe several times as well as drinks in The Crown and The Ship pubs. Owners were easy to contact but no issues.

A wonderfully equipped modern house, spotlessly clean, in a convenient location for exploring the Hampshire/Dorset/Wiltshire border areas, particularly the New Forest.

We enjoyed our few days in 'Mallards'. It is conveniently situated for seeing a number of places, e.g. Wilton House, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and all of the New Forest. it didn't take long to reach the coast. The lounge and bedrooms were comfortable, but the kitchen is very small for cooking.

This is a clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated modern house. It is within walking distance of the main high street with a supermarket and several pubs serving good food. The New Forest and attractions are a short drive away. The owners kindly left us a varied welcome pack meaning we didn't need to shop on arrival.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
