The owner Julie who lives in the attached house was very helpful. The cottage was snug and very clean and comfortable and within walking distance to beach and nearby pub with great food. There was lots to see in surrounding nearby places of interest and the beaches were lovely to walk along with great views over to the Isle of Wight.

The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, extremely cosy and excellently located. Received a warm welcome from the owners and also plenty of and very helpful information about local attractions. Would also highly recommend the Royal Oak pub just down the road again for a warm welcome and an excellent menu.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
