Really great property and although too big for us (only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms), we had a really great stay. We stayed during February half term and safe to say the house was nice and toasty throughout our stay although did still use the log fire a couple of times. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed from the lazy mRead moreornings having breakfast around the huge dining table or chilled evenings watching a DVD in front of the log fire. GREAT PLACE TO STAY! Hide

We had a really lovely 2 week holiday at Rosewood Cottage. It was a really lovely "home from home". Close to lots of nice places to visit and only a very short walk into the open countryside of the New Forest. Beautiful.

Beautiful cottage, clean spacious and in a wonderful position. Lots of beautiful walks in the area, did not have to use our car at all. Burley had a good general store, friendly people. Also great Fudge Shop. Lovely garden to relax in. Very usable kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm. Will hope to come back soon.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
