Situated just outside the village of Milton-on-Sea, the property is nestled in the coastal hamlet of Keyhaven complete with its own historic pub which makes a great spot for relaxing after a day spent on the beach. The nearby vibrant and bustling town of Lymington is a wonderful place to meander through the cobbled streets and various independent shops. Walkers and cyclists can head into the New Forest which is within easy reach of the property, and enjoy the extensive trails through the beautiful landscape.

Entrance to the charming property is via a spacious hallway and a cloakroom, which provides great storage for those sandy flip flops, buckets and spades. The property has a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and a dining area that’s perfect for entertaining and enjoying some local fish and chips. The lounge is a bright and spacious room that’s great for curling up and watching a DVD after a day spent in the fresh sea air. Double doors lead from the lounge through to the patio seating area, which is a lovely spot for al fresco dining or relaxing in the sunshine.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms, one of which contains a double bed and the other a small single. There is also a bathroom on this floor. Another flight of stairs leads up to the second floor and two further bedrooms. A bedroom with charming sloping ceilings contains two single beds and has a lovely cosy feeling from the eaves of the house. The property’s fourth bedroom is a cosy single bedroom and there is also a bathroom.

Lovely little house, comfortable and so very clean. Excellent location for walkers, cyclists, dog walkers and old biddies like me. The area is great and we were lucky with the weather in February, one day we could actually sit in the sun!

Such a lovely location . A perfect find for our family get together . Everything we needed for our weekend was at hand . Lovely evening walks . A short Walk to The Smugglers pub in Mildford is a must . Fantastic food .

Great location with easy access to coastal areas and the New Forest itself. Right next to a pub and lovely walks on your door step.

We have stayed at Southerly on a number of occasions and are never disappointed with the location and space inside the house. It is mainly peaceful too and the little garden/patio is a bonus as it is sheltered. We love Milford beach just to watch the waves, but a trip further along the coast to Highcliffe house is worth it with its lovely grounds, Read moretakeaway cafe and sandy beach at the end of a coastal path. With the sea and the New Forest nearby, Southerly is a great base for holiday. Hide

The cottage is in a great location,adjacent to the Harbour and to coastal walks,yet enjoying the privacy of Shipwrights Walk and its parking amenity and security.The cottage is quite spacious (the kitchen is for cooking,not dining) and very comfortably furnished.The small,private,courtyard garden is a pleasant retreat in the afternoon and evening sRead moreunshine.It is well equipped,everything worked and it was spotless on arrival,with a nice welcoming gesture in the fridge. Nicely located, clean and warm and with everything that is needed for a family holiday. Car parking for two vehicles right outside the house for easy access. We would have no hesitation in going back again.

It was a lovely location for dog walking, ornithologists, sailing and visiting pub. Plenty of seating to relax in evening. Suited all our needs easy parking for car short walk to pub and longer ones for dogs scenery wonderful.

Southerly is a really good holiday property. This year shows the property to be that much brighter than three years ago! The location superb and simply put , I have booked to be there again in 2023. Also thank you for the personal touches and help received from the owner.
