Traditional country cottage a short stroll from the village pub. Explore the New Forest National Park which is five minutes from the cottage making this perfect  for outdoor enthusiasts.

Situated in the heart of the New Forest, this property is a great base for making the most of the surrounding countryside. Guests can hire bikes and head along the numerous cycling trails which cover the New Forest, or head out on foot and enjoy a lovely walk that finishes at the local pub. Spend the evening down in Lymington Quay, meandering the cobbled streets and exploring the independent shops of this pretty coastal town. For keen sailors, the nearby Sailing Centre in Lymington is a great place to learn.

The property has an inviting lounge which is a perfect spot for relaxing with a good book in front of the woodburner after a day spent outdoors. Wood floors add to the country style warmth of this charming property. A dining area provides a lovely space for entertaining and the open fire creates a wonderful ambience. The property has a lovely kitchen that’s well equipped with all the essentials for cooking up a storm. A utility room provides a great space for storing sandy flip flops and buckets and spades.

Upstairs there are four charming bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a beautiful super king-size sleigh bed and is decorated with neutral tones that add to the relaxing feel of the room. Two of the bedrooms contain single beds which can be joined together to create two king-size beds. The final bedroom in the property is a cosy single bedroom and there is a main bathroom with a shower over bath.

Outside there is a pretty garden and a patio area with a BBQ and garden furniture for al fresco dining.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage has a wonderful homely feel with little touches of luxury (cake & flowers)! The kitchen is very well equipped which is great as we love self catering using local produce. Dogs are catered for with bowl, towel, poop bags & treats. Location os great for everywhere.

The cottage is in a great location. There is a friendly pub which serves great food at the top of the road which is also dog friendly. It is near to all the bike routes and the little quirky towns of Brockenhurst and Burley. Milford on Sea is also a short drive away which is a dog friendly beach and great for crabbing. It really is one of the most beautiful and well equipped houses weve ever stayed in. If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
