Part of the Montagu Estate, Bucklers Hard has a shipbuilding heritage and sits on the banks of the River Beaulieu. It’s surrounded by the New Forest, making it perfect for exploring the outdoors. Beaulieu is the nearest town, home to a Cistercian Abbey as well as the National Motor Museum. Lymington and Lyndhurst are also within easy reach, while the North Solent National Nature Reserve, with its variety of wildlife, is just over three miles away. Other attractions nearby include Marwell Zoo and Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway.
On the ground floor there is a lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility room and a bathroom. The lounge, with its wood burner (logs included), is warm and inviting. Looking out onto the river, the lounge also features a Smart TV, a DVD and Sky TV channels. The dining room also has a warming wood burner, so guests can relax in the warm after an evening meal. In the well-equipped kitchen is everything guests need, an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A washing machine can also be found in the utility room. The ground floor bathroom contains a shower over bath and a WC. On the first floor are two bedrooms, as well as a wet room. The bedrooms consist of one king-size bedroom boasting river views, and one double bedroom, with two additional bunk beds. A shower and WC can be found in the wet room. Additional accommodation is also provided in the separate annexe, located in the garden. This offers a double bedroom, a sink and views out onto the river. A sofa bed is also available on request, sleeping one adult or two children.
Outside of the property, the enclosed garden is a spacious lawn area, with garden furniture and a BBQ available perfect for enjoying those sunnier days. Parking is available off-site in the nearby car park, subject to availability, though guests are free to unload outside the property.
