Beaulieu is the nearest town, home to a Cistercian Abbey as well as the National Motor Museum. Lymington and Lyndhurst are also within easy reach, while the North Solent National Nature Reserve, with its variety of wildlife, is just over three miles away. Other attractions nearby include Marwell Zoo and Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway.

On the ground floor there is a lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility room and a bathroom. The lounge, with its wood burner (logs included), is warm and inviting. Looking out onto the river, the lounge also features a Smart TV, a DVD and Sky TV channels. The dining room also has a warming wood burner, so guests can relax in the warm after an evening meal. In the well-equipped kitchen is everything guests need, an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A washing machine can also be found in the utility room. The ground floor bathroom contains a shower over bath and a WC. On the first floor are two bedrooms, as well as a wet room. The bedrooms consist of one king-size bedroom boasting river views, and one double bedroom, with two additional bunk beds. A shower and WC can be found in the wet room. Additional accommodation is also provided in the separate annexe, located in the garden. This offers a king-size bedroom, a sink and views out onto the river. A sofa bed is also available on request, sleeping one adult or two children.

Outside of the property, the enclosed garden is a spacious lawn area, with garden furniture and a BBQ available perfect for enjoying those sunnier days. Parking is available off-site in the nearby car park, subject to availability, though guests are free to unload outside the property.

This is a fabulous location. Quiet and beautiful . Unique . I have stayed here on many occasions over the years and have always felt at home. It is not cheap however and whilst it was relatively clean with lovely sheets and towels the attention to detail was lacking. No kindling or logs were there no frying pan . The fire didnt really work as well Read moreas well as before . I dont mean to sound petty but for 1200 pounds a week it did not come up to expectations despite the wonderful location . Hide

A delightful spot with the benefits of a hotel with bar and restaurant just yards away. Dog friendly with plenty of walks and a safely enclosed garden for pets or children with surrounding space to play. Restored cottage with many original features, and an adequate kitchen and facilities. Very comfortable lounge and dining room. Perfect for 6 guestRead mores including use of the annexe. Whilst bedrooms will sleep more, communal rooms would be cramped with more. Hide

Great location, had such a lovely stay. A great local pub just opposite serving fantastic food. Cottage itself is modern with original features and incredibly cosy. Would absolutely stay here again with my large family and two dogs!!

Location super, cottage nicely appointed except for the cooker which has no temperature indicators on the oven switches. Beds really comfortable. Daughter and son in law loved the annexe bedroom in the garden. Only sleeps 8 though not 9 as advertised. Bar has a small menu but food was good.
