The Lookout is the perfect name overlooking the sea. Mrs Passman greeted us at the house and was extremely helpful. We had a lovely welcome pack. The restaurants in Milford-on-Sea/Barton-on-Sea were fantastic, very friendly.

Lovely house, well equipped and amazing views. Great location for beach or adventures in the new forest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the little extras when we arrived made it feel special. Fruit, milk, chocolates, croissants and sticker books for the kids! Came home feeling relaxes and refreshed.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
