Its spacious, clean, great location with 2 brilliant pubs nearby with good food and friendly staff. Local convenience store really helpful and stock everything you will need for a price. There is a good bike hire shop in the village (route maps are already in the cottage).

Perfectly situated at the edge of the village. The cottage was lovely and clean and well equipped. The double ensuite room was very comfortable. My only criticism is that the second bathroom was quite a walk from the twin bedroom.

The Old Chemist is a well furnished, comfortable cottage set in the heart of the village of Burley. The village shop, pubs and cafes are extremely accessible, even for those who are less mobile. For the more active there are beautiful walks straight from the front door.

The Old Chemist is the 3rd cottage we have rented in Burley and definitely the best so far! Excellent maps provided which led us to discover the deer sanctuary viewing point at Boldrewood.

Excellent, especially as we had my 93 year old mother with us and it was all on the level. Booking process was very efficient. Hockey Farm Shop and Tea rooms was a real find.

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
