Climb the steps up to the unique, quirky holiday property, which is set in the grounds of the owners’ home but enjoys its privacy. The heart of the lodge, which features an abundance of gorgeous wood throughout, is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a warm and welcoming ambience. Prepare meals in the kitchen, dine together then relax in front of the Smart TV. As night falls, enjoy the sense of being close to nature in the double bedrooms, which both have access to the shower room. Spend much of your time out on the expansive deck, which opens into a leafy space housing the sheltered hot tub. Light the BBQ and watch the children running about on the grass in the shared garden. You’ll find parking for two cars about 15 metres from the cabin.
Grab some supplies and head off into the New Forest. Make your way to Burley, 4 miles away, to hire bikes and follow routes, including the Burley Trail. You can also book a wagon ride or deer safari here. Look out for the famous roaming forest ponies as you go. Wander around Christchurch, 5.5 miles away, away to pick up local produce or dine out. Or, drive 8.5 miles for a day out in Bournemouth; go to the beach, visit the pier and enjoy some traditional seaside fun.
