This period cottage is one of two properties in a charming Georgian terrace. It is set in the peaceful hamlet of Bucklers Hard, part of the Montagu Estate. Situated on the banks of the River Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard has a rich maritime history. The New Forest can be reached directly from the doorstep, offering miles of wonderful walks as well as many pretty picnic spots. Beaulieu is the nearest town and is home to attractions including the National Motor Museum and a Cistercian Abbey. The towns of Lymington, Brocklehurst and Lyndhurst are also nearby, as are attractions including Marwell Zoo, the North Solent National Nature Reserve and Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway.
On the ground floor of the property there is a bathroom, lounge, dining room and a kitchen. The bathroom contains a shower over bath and WC, while the cosy lounge has a smart TV, basic Sky TV package and a DVD. A sofa bed is also available for the lounge for additional guests on request; this sleeps one adult or two children. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Reached via steep cottage-style stairs with rope hand rail which leads to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms. These consist of one king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom, which is accessed via the king-size bedroom.
Outside of the property there is a spacious enclosed lawn garden, perfect for relaxing and playing with the children in. Garden furniture and a BBQ are also provided should you wish to dine al fresco on a summer’s day. Parking is available off-site at a nearby car park, subject to availability, however, guests are free to unload outside of the property.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
