This is a lovely house: very comfortable and in an excellent location. It's a stone's throw from Christchurch High St and the river ferry, but the location seems very quiet and safe. Note that there is no washing machine or clothes airer.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The house is very clean, uncluttered but well equipped and very comfortable. Theres a handy guide and information folder with some suggestions which was a nice touch. Christchurch is an attractive town, and the house is in a great spot being only a short walk from the centre, with boat trips even closer. What a great holiday let in a fantastic setting! We really enjoyed our stay in Watersmeet, especially as the weather was so good for late October/early November. The house is a couple of minutes walk from great restaurants and the river, yet still amazingly quiet and peaceful. You can ride out on a bicycle from the house onto a cycle path. The house itself is wonderfully clean throughout with a very spacious and well equipped kitchen, bedrooms and living room. It was a great stay.

One of my top prorities when staying in rented accommodation is cleanliness. At Watersmeet this was not a problem, it was spotless. The owner ensures that everything is immaculate. Immaculately presented inside and out. The house is well laid out with private bathrooms per bedroom. Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms very roomy, luxury. The living on the second floor presented no issues with elderly parents going up and down stairs and the balcony gave rise to a cup of coffee in the mornings. What a beautiful house and so clean, we are a bit OCD with our cleaning and always clean whatever accommodation we stay at, this is the first time ever we have never cleaned. If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
