Perfect getaway for family. Five of us stayed in the main house and one couple stayed in the barn. Pool table in the barn proved to be very popular and it was a great place to hang out together.

Fantastic location if you want to be close to nature; just minutes away from footpaths yet also close to villages , lovely pubs and restaurants. Something for everyone. The house was more than we hoped for. Ideal for families; gorgeous grounds for fine weather and the barn to socialise in when the weather is poor. We would love to return.

A tranquil location, the house is well appointed in all aspects, decor and all important kitchen / dining area just right. The barn and the facilities inside are a great add-on. We were six adults and two small children. We are planning a return visit. The contact with the owner was good. Highly recommended.

Location

If you’re after a holiday destination which has natural wonders and British tradition in abundance, look no further than the New Forest – a region where beautiful heathland, forest trails and stunning coastline surround quaint villages and market towns.

The National Park is found on England’s south coast, covering the south west of Hampshire but extending into Wiltshire and Dorset. It’s known for its picturesque footpaths and cycle trails, from which you can witness the spectacular sights of deer, ponies and cattle roaming free throughout the ancient woodland.

The villages of Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Buckler’s Hard have plenty of traditional, cosy pubs in which you can enjoy some locally-brewed cider or beer. Or, if you wanted something a little livelier, Hythe, Lymington and New Milton run fantastic weekly markets, while the lively city of Southampton is a drive away.

If you prefer coast over country, a visit to the shoreline is a must. Highlights include the Barton-on-Sea cliffs, Lymington Quay, and the Beaulieu River, where adventurous activities including canoeing await. There are plenty of other great things to do, too, with the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Breamore House and Museum near Fordingbridge, and Exbury Gardens all found around the region.
