Flexible accommodation with the main house and stunning barn, makes this property perfect for large families or groups of friends, complete with a games room.

For keen cyclists, the extensive network of trails through the New Forest await, or for those who prefer hacking through the beautiful landscape, the nearby stables are the place to go. A gentle stroll from the property takes guests to the local pub, which is a welcoming spot after a day spent outdoors. Various attractions are within easy reach of the property, including Peppa Pig World and a water park for those warm sunny days. Closer to home, guests can head to the beach or pick up a rod and go to The Rockbourne Trout Fishery. Alternatively, guests can simply relax in the property’s games room and enjoy a game of pool.

The spacious property has a charming country style kitchen complete with tiled flooring. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials, including a Rayburn cooker that adds to the farmhouse feel of the room. A dining table is great for breakfasts and more relaxed dining. The open-plan lounge diner has oak flooring, which gives the space a wonderful sense of warmth and character. The lounge area provides a great spot for curling up and watching Sky or a DVD after a day spent cycling through the New Forest. A step leads down into the dining area which is perfect for groups and more formal entertaining.

Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms. The main bedroom is bright and airy, containing a double bed and an en-suite with a corner shower. The property’s second bedroom is a great family room complete with a double bed and a single day bed. There is also space for a cot. A small yet cosy single bedroom completes this floor, as well as a main bathroom with a shower over bath.

There is more to this property than meets the eye. There is even more accommodation in the nearby barn conversion with its spectacular floor to ceiling glass windows and charming living spaces.

Underfloor heating and a flame effect fire keeps the barn lovely and warm. A bathroom with a corner shower completes the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine level with two single beds which can be joined together if required. The barn has stunning views across the landscape and provides great additional accommodation.

Outside there is a sunny garden offering breathtaking views across the Avon Valley. A seating area and BBQ provides a great space for relaxing and enjoying some al fresco dining.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we stepped through the door! It was so cosy and welcoming we felt at home immediately. So pretty and beautifully appointed - it was the perfect setting for a celebratory birthday weekend. We hope to make a return visit next year!

Chocolate box cottage in a lovely setting with views over the forest. Had everything we needed and the location meant we could travel to lots of different places with ease. The only negative thing was a smell of drains or toilet in the hallway which seemed to intensify after someone showered.

A wonderful property in a superb location. There was plenty to do if you want to stay active but the cottage was a welcome and peaceful retreat when you need a relaxing day in! Larkhill is a beautiful house in a fantastic location to explore the New Forest and Dorset coast. It was great for our family - grandparents in the separate barn and young (noisy) family in the main house! Well equipped and very comfortable. We have really enjoyed our stay here. Everyone enjoyed the barn! Trips out included Sandy Balls for swimming, Marwell Zoo and Paultons Park. The setting is lovely and we saw some wonderful sunsets.
